The World War 2 Memorial & Museum Tour is related to Ukraine's history during world's largest military conflict. Tour is usually starting near the gigantic 62 m high Mother - Motherland Statue - the main attraction of the memorial complex and includes visit of the Kiev World War II Museum which is located right under this huge monument. The museum displays authentic material such as weapons and documents from each period of the Great Patriotic War (this how the former Soviet countries call WW2). After the museum visit you will continue to the open air exhibit of Red Army military equipment such as tanks, artillery pieces, train and other vehicles used in the World War II and continue to adjacent exhibition military equipment of Soviet Army used in 1970's and 1980's. Should there be 15 spare minutes at the end of the tour, your private guide will show you the Afghan War Veteran memorial located some 350 meters from the main museum.
