Kiev Communism Tour is car (or van) driven tour of major communist era landmarks of Kiev like the pompous Kreshatik boulevard from Stalin times of 1950's, monumental Communist Party Headquarters building, 62 meters tall Mother-Motherland Memorial, Victory Square and Victory Boulevard district with typical common houses from 1960's.
Tour guide shows you not just the monuments, but describes the daily life in communism deeply behind iron curtain, in a tough regime under state-control, with empty shops and showy manifestations of Communist Party power.
Tour takes around 3,5 - 4 hours, starting from downtown (or your hotel) and with return to downtown. The tour guide is a licensed English speaking guide. Due to traffic jams the tour is strongly recommended on Saturdays and Sundays only.

Location, starting point & return details

The tour departs from Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence square) or you will be picked from reception of your centrally located hotel, alternatively in front of house, where is your apartment located.
